This week representatives of the ActusQ bureau, which seeks to develop investments in agriculture, have traveled to the Netherlands for a weeklong working visit aimed at increasing the knowledge of Dutch farmers and investors about Latvia’s investment opportunities and environment, as well as to attract investments for the further development of agriculture in Latvia.
Together with partners in the Netherlands, the ActusQ representatives are organizing a weeklong series of seminars in four different Dutch cities, the focus being on those farmers and investors who see potential in agricultural production and are thinking about opportunities to invest in other countries.
Attendees at the seminars will receive information about legal, financial and other aspects which must be taken into account when deciding on investments in other countries, particularly in terms of Latvia’s agricultural sector.
Over the past six months, ActusQ has established a strong network of partnership with Dutch agricultural organizations to popularize Latvia as an attractive destination for investments and to make sure that potential investors can receive all of the support that they need in terms of structuring and managing their investments. ActusQ has concluded that Dutch investors and farmers have no information about Latvia and that such informational work is a necessary prerequisite for ensuring a flow of Dutch investments to Latvia’s agricultural sector. The people who have traveled to the Netherlands are the director of ActusQ and organization’s project manager.
